Meridian North South Emerald Bezel 5 Carat Lab Grown Diamond Tennis Bracelet
A north south emerald cut lab grown diamond tennis bracelet, fully bezel set and made to order in our Wembley studio in Perth. Each emerald cut stands upright across the wrist rather than lying along it, so the bracelet reads as a series of tall bright panels instead of a continuous horizontal line.
This is the traditional orientation for an emerald cut, and it produces a wider looking bracelet than the east west version of the same stone. If the east west design is the modern one, this is the classical one.
Diamond specification
- Stone shape: emerald cut, 3 x 2 mm, set north south
- Setting: full bezel, metal surrounding the entire stone
- Total carat weight: 5.00 carat, varying slightly with length
- Colour: D, the highest grade on the colour scale
- Clarity: VVS, inclusions invisible to the naked eye
- Certification: IGI certified lab grown diamonds
Set north south, each stone presents its full width to the eye, which makes any variation between neighbours more obvious than in an east west line. Joseph, our gemologist, matches the set for outline and grade before setting begins.
Metal
- Platinum 950: naturally white, never needs replating, the most durable option for daily wear
- 18K gold, white or yellow: the fine jewellery standard, rich colour and excellent durability
- 14K gold, white or yellow: a harder alloy at a lower price, practical for everyday wear
- 9K gold, white or yellow: the most accessible solid gold option and the hardest of the three gold alloys
A bezel puts more metal on show than a claw setting, so the colour choice matters more here. Yellow gold outlines each stone warmly; platinum and white gold recede.
Choosing your length
Measure your wrist, then add 1.5 to 2 cm. 16 cm suits wrists around 14 to 14.5 cm, 17 cm suits 15 to 15.5 cm, and 18 cm suits 16 to 16.5 cm.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
From $5,890 in 9K gold to $9,890 in platinum 950, depending on length and metal. Every price includes D VVS IGI certified diamonds, hand setting in Perth and free insured shipping.
How long does it take to make?
6 to 8 weeks from order, made to your chosen length and metal in our Perth studio.
North south or east west?
North south sets each stone upright across the wrist, giving a wider, more traditional bracelet with distinct individual panels. East west lays the stones lengthways for a lower, more continuous, more contemporary line. Both use the same stone; only the orientation changes.
Why is this more expensive than the east west version?
Setting emerald cuts north south requires more metal per stone and more individual bezel work across the width of the bracelet.
Why bezel rather than claws?
Emerald cut corners are the most vulnerable part of the shape. A bezel covers them entirely, which makes it the most protective setting available and the best choice for a piece worn regularly.
Where is it made?
Designed and hand finished in our Wembley studio in Perth, Western Australia, delivered free and fully insured to every Australian postcode.
