Nothing is required. But if you want to get the most from your 45 minutes, here's what helps.

Every consultation at VYOR Diamond Lab is guided personally by Joseph, our founder and gemologist. From selecting and assessing each stone to refining the design and overseeing the craftsmanship, Joseph is involved in every important detail of your ring.
When you book a consultation, you are not handed over to a salesperson. You meet directly with Joseph, either at our Wembley atelier in Perth or through a virtual consultation anywhere in Australia.
There is no commission, no pressure, and no unnecessary upselling. Just honest gemological advice, thoughtful design guidance, and a ring created with the care it deserves.

Within 24 hours, a full no-obligation quote lands in your inbox. If you proceed, your finished ring ships free and fully insured, anywhere in Australia.

Is the consultation really free?
Yes, 100%. No deposit, no booking fee, no card required. We offer free consultations because our model is to earn your trust first.
How long does a consultation take?
Allow 45–60 minutes. Shorter visits are possible for quick sample try-ons; longer sessions are available on request for complex custom designs.
Can I bring my partner, or is it a surprise proposal?
Both. Around 40% of our clients design the ring together; 60% come solo to plan a surprise. We handle both with full discretion and will never contact your partner.
Do I need to know what I want before booking?
Not at all. Most clients arrive with a rough idea and leave with a clear plan. Joseph's job is to guide you, not test you.
What's the difference between in-studio and virtual consultations?
The expert, the depth, and the outcome are identical. The difference is physical, in-studio lets you try rings in person; virtual brings the studio to your screen.
Can I change my appointment time?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel any time via the link in your confirmation email. No fees.
Will I be pressured to buy on the day?
No. We never take payment or deposits at the consultation. You leave with an itemised written quote and time to think. Decisions are yours alone.
Do you offer after-hours or weekend appointments?
Saturdays are standard. Sundays and after-hours virtual calls are available on request, please email info@diamond-lab.com.au to arrange.
Can children come with me?
Yes, children are welcome. Our Wembley studio is small but child-friendly and we have no other clients present during your appointment.
Is my consultation private?
Yes. We only book one consultation at a time.
What payment methods do you accept if I commission a ring?
Bank transfer, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, and cryptocurrency via Coinbase. We also offer staged payment plans.
What if I travel to Perth for the appointment, can you accommodate?
Yes. Interstate clients regularly travel in for consultations. Let us know your travel dates when booking and we'll prioritise a slot that works with your flights.
