What is a ready to ship engagement ring?
A ready to ship engagement ring is a fully completed engagement ring already crafted and held in stock at our Perth studio, available for dispatch within one to three business days of order. Unlike custom designs which are made to order over three to five weeks, ready to ship designs are pre selected by our designer and pre set with stones reviewed by our gemologist, ready for immediate purchase. They are ideal for surprise proposals, time sensitive engagements, gift giving, or clients who have found a design they love and want to receive it quickly.
How quickly does VYOR dispatch ready to ship rings?
Every Ready to Ship engagement ring at VYOR is dispatched from our Perth studio within one to three business days of order. Standard delivery to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide is two to five business days from dispatch. Total time from order to delivery is typically three to eight business days, depending on your address. For Perth metro clients, in person pickup at our Wembley showroom is available the next business day after order.
Can ready to ship rings be customised?
Ready to Ship rings are sold as finished pieces, with the design and stone fixed at the time of crafting. Limited adjustments are possible after purchase, including engraving (under the band), resizing (one to two sizes up or down), and minor finish refresh. Major customisations such as changing the centre stone, setting style, or metal are not possible on a Ready to Ship piece. Clients who want significant customisation choose our custom design service instead, with the three to five week production timeframe.
Are ready to ship rings the same quality as custom?
Yes. Every Ready to Ship engagement ring at VYOR meets the full VYOR quality standard: D, E, F, or G colour and VS1 clarity and above for lab grown diamonds (with GIA or IGI certification), or D colour VVS1 clarity moissanite. Every ring is hand finished in Perth by our team of senior master jewellers, using 100% recycled 18k gold or platinum. Every ring carries the same lifetime manufacturing warranty as our custom designs. Ready to Ship is faster, not lower quality.
Can I return or exchange a ready to ship ring?
Yes. Ready to Ship rings can be returned within 14 days of delivery for refund or exchange, provided the ring is unworn and in original condition with original packaging and certification. Custom designs (including any Ready to Ship ring that has been resized or engraved) cannot be returned. Our team handles return shipping and processing for any client outside Perth.
Can ready to ship rings be resized?
Yes. Every Ready to Ship engagement ring at VYOR includes complimentary resizing within the first 60 days of purchase. Most designs can be resized one to two sizes up or down without affecting the design. Eternity bands (with diamonds set around the entire band) cannot be resized after crafting. Our master jewellers handle all resizing in house in Perth, with typical turnaround of two to three business days for resizing of a Ready to Ship piece.
What if I don't know the exact ring size?
For surprise proposals or gifts, exact sizing is rarely known in advance. We recommend ordering one of our most popular sizes (typically L or M for women's rings in Australian sizing) and using our complimentary resizing within the first 60 days to fit perfectly after the proposal. If you are uncertain about size at all, our team can guide you toward the most statistically common size for your situation, or hold the ring at the Wembley showroom for sizing in person on collection.
Does VYOR offer ready to ship in both lab grown diamond and moissanite?
Yes. Our Ready to Ship collection includes designs in both lab grown diamond and D VVS1 moissanite, across multiple shapes (round brilliant, oval, cushion, princess, emerald, and others) and setting styles (solitaire, halo, hidden halo, three stone, bezel, and others). Inventory varies, and the full available range is displayed in the product grid above. Stones are added to the Ready to Ship collection regularly as new pieces are completed in our Perth studio.

Every Ready to Ship engagement ring is held to the same standards as our custom range. Our gemologist, Joseph, reviews every stone before it enters the Ready to Ship collection, ensuring the same D, E, F, G colour and VS1 clarity and above floor for diamonds (and D VVS1 only for moissanite) that we hold across every custom design. Our designer, Nikolett, selects which designs enter the Ready to Ship range based on the breadth of styles our clients most often request.
When you order a Ready to Ship engagement ring, you receive the same gemological documentation, the same finishing standards, the same lifetime warranty, and the same complimentary resizing as a custom design. The only difference is timing. Read more about the founders on our About page.
How to Choose a Ready to Ship Engagement Ring
Ready to Ship purchases are typically time pressured and benefit from a simple decision framework. Five things to think through before placing your order.
Confirm the size
Ring size is the most common reason a Ready to Ship purchase needs correction after delivery. If the recipient does not know they will receive a ring, work from a comparison ring you can measure (one she or he wears on the right ring finger, ideally), or use our complimentary 60 day resizing to perfect the fit after the proposal. Australian average women's ring size is L, men's is T.
Choose stone type
Lab grown diamond or D VVS1 moissanite. Lab grown diamond is the traditional choice and the most popular for engagement rings. D VVS1 moissanite is an excellent choice for clients seeking a larger stone within a particular budget. Both stone types are available across the Ready to Ship range.
Choose shape and setting from available stock
Ready to Ship is a curated selection rather than the full custom range. The shapes and settings available are listed in the product grid above. If the design you envision is not in Ready to Ship stock, our custom design service produces the same in three to five weeks.
Confirm delivery timing
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide receive deliveries two to five business days after dispatch. Perth metro is one business day. Regional postcodes vary. For a proposal at a specific date, count back from the proposal date and add three business days for dispatch processing.
Surprise proposal considerations
For surprise proposals, our Wembley showroom offers in person collection with private packaging, so the ring does not arrive at your home address while the recipient is present. Our team can also arrange discreet delivery to a workplace or alternative address on request.
