Which diamond shapes work best with half bezel?

For elongated stones, the half bezel covers the ends (where points or curves are most vulnerable) and leaves the long curved sides exposed.

Bezel placement
The first decision is which two sides of the stone the bezel will cover. East west half bezel (across the top and bottom of an elongated stone, with the long curved sides exposed) is the most contemporary configuration. Traditional half bezel (across the left and right sides) reads more classical. North south half bezel on a round or cushion centre produces a distinctive modern silhouette. Design
Once your stone and setting direction are confirmed, our design team produces a detailed 3D CAD model of your ring. You review and approve every element (bezel placement and proportion, band width, finish, metal) before crafting begins.
Crafting
Your ring is finished in Perth by our team of senior master jewellers, using 100% recycled gold or platinum. Most custom half bezel engagement rings are completed within three to five weeks of design approval, faster than the Australian industry standard of six to eight weeks.
Delivery
Your finished ring is presented in person at the Wembley showroom, or dispatched anywhere in Australia by fully insured express courier with signature on delivery.
